LocationTo show distance to jobsOnly while the app is open. We never ask for background location.
CameraProfile photo, job photos, ID scanOnly when you tap the button
MicrophoneSpeaking instead of typingOnly while you are recording

2. What we deliberately do NOT collect

Your full Aadhaar or PAN number. The number is used to check its format and then discarded. Only the last four characters are saved. Not in our database, logs, or backups.

Photographs of your Aadhaar card. Read on your own phone; never uploaded to us.

Your phone number, placed in your profile. It lives in the sign-in system, not in profile records other users browse or search — an employer cannot see it by looking at your profile. The one exception is the "reveal contact" feature described in §3, which requires your own agreement first and creates a record every time it's used.

Your location in the background. Only while you're using the app.

3. Who your data is shared with

Other users — your name, photo, area, skills, rating and job history. Never your full address if you have not made it your area, never your ID number.

Your phone number, specifically — workers only. An employer can reveal it, one time, through an explicit "Reveal Phone & Contact" action on your profile — never automatically, never just by browsing or messaging you. Before this can happen at all, you must have agreed to it: when you first join, or the first time this feature is shown to you, we ask you to explicitly accept a summary that names this exact feature — a plain checkbox, unticked by default, with "I agree" required before you can continue. If you haven't agreed, no employer can reveal your number — you'll be asked next time you sign in. Once revealed:

  • You are told, every time — a notification naming that an employer revealed your contact.
  • It is currently free, and any future fee would be shown in the app before it applies.
  • We keep a record of the reveal itself (who, when, which job if any) — not a transcript of any call.
  • The same employer cannot re-reveal or be charged twice — a one-time, recorded event.
  • We cannot make an employer forget a number they already have. Deleting your account or turning off availability stops future reveals — it cannot erase a number from a phone someone already called. See §6 for reporting misuse.

Supabase — the company that hosts our database, on our behalf and under our instructions.

Nobody else. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or where it is genuinely necessary to prevent serious harm.

4. Location, specifically

  • Before you accept a job, an employer sees only a rough distance band — "Under 2 km away", "2–5 km away", "5–10 km away", or "10+ km away" — never an exact figure and never your position. We show a band rather than a precise number because even a precise "2.3 km away" would let someone narrow down roughly where you are by asking from a few different points — a real technique, which is why bands replaced exact distances everywhere in the app.
  • A job's location is shown to workers, because they have to travel there. An employer's home address is not shared unless they choose it as the work location.

5. How long we keep it

While your account exists, and for a reasonable period afterwards for records of completed jobs, disputes, and legal obligations.

Delete your account any time from Profile → Delete Account, in the app. This permanently removes your profile, photos, location, posted jobs, applications, messages, and ratings — immediately, without needing to email anyone. It cannot be undone.

What's kept anyway: payment and paid-contact-reveal records you were part of are kept, with your name and identity removed, for accounting and legal record-keeping.

Exactly how long these are kept, and whether a purely financial record with your identity removed still needs further handling under applicable law, are open questions we have not finished resolving — we are not going to guess at an answer here.

If you cannot sign in to use the in-app option, email us at ravit96430@gmail.com.

6. Your choices

  • See your data — most of it is on your profile screen.
  • Correct it — every profile field can be edited in the app.
  • Delete your account — Profile → Delete Account, in the app, any time (see §5). If you can't sign in, email us instead.
  • Turn off permissions — location, camera and microphone can all be switched off in your phone's settings.
  • Report misuse of your revealed number — if an employer uses it for anything other than the work you discussed, tell us at ravit96430@gmail.com. We can act on the employer's account even though we cannot recall the number itself.

7. Security

Access is controlled at the database level, not just in the app: the database itself refuses to hand over data the requester is not entitled to, even if the app were modified. Admin accounts require a password and a second factor. Administrative actions are logged.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects you, we will tell you.

8. Children

Connect Rozgar is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly keep data about children. Tell us if you believe we have.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will ask you to read and accept the new version in the app, and we record which version you accepted.
