Connect Rozgar — Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Version: 0.1-draft  ·  Last updated: 22 August 2026

The principle

Things change, and cancelling is not wrongdoing. Cancelling late, or not turning up at all, is different — someone has turned down other work, or is standing at a site with nobody there.

So: cancelling early is free and always will be. What counts against you is lateness and silence.

If a worker cancels

WhenEffect
More than 12 hours beforeNo effect
2–12 hours beforeRecorded; repeated instances affect standing
Under 2 hours beforeCounts as a late cancellation
Did not arrive, no messageNo-show — the most serious

If an employer cancels

WhenEffect
More than 12 hours beforeNo effect
2–12 hours beforeRecorded
Under 2 hours beforeCounts as a late cancellation
Worker travelled and there was no workNo-show — the most serious

Employers are held to the same standard as workers. A worker who travels for nothing has lost a day.

Reasons

We ask for a reason. It is not a test — it lets us tell a genuine emergency apart from a pattern.

Worker: found other work · cannot reach the location · illness or emergency · job was not as described · felt unsafe · other

Employer: no longer needed · found someone else · postponed · weather · worker unsuitable · other

Cancelling because something was wrong

If a job is not as described, or a site is unsafe, you may cancel without penalty. Say so in the reason, and tell us.

Reporting an unsafe site is never held against you.

What "affects your standing" means

Cancellations are counted on your profile alongside completed jobs. A few against many completed jobs means little. A pattern is visible to the other side, and that is the point — it is information, not punishment.

We do not fine anyone, and no money is taken for a cancellation.

Repeated no-shows

Repeated no-shows without explanation may lead to suspension. You will be told why and can respond. A genuine reason — illness, an accident, a family emergency — is taken into account. Tell us.

Jobs that expire

A job whose start time passes with nobody accepted is closed automatically. Nobody is penalised.
