Connect Rozgar — Payment Terms

Version: 0.1-draft  ·  Last updated: 22 August 2026

1. Who pays whom

The employer pays the worker the amount they agreed.

Connect Rozgar charges a separate platform fee to each side for arranging the job. The platform fee is not part of the worker's wages.

2. The fees

RateOn a ₹1,000 job
Worker platform fee5% of the agreed amount₹50
Employer platform fee1% of the agreed amount₹10

Worker receives: ₹950   Employer pays in total: ₹1,010   Connect Rozgar receives: ₹60

A minimum fee of ₹10 applies per side, so very small jobs are not free to process.

Both rates are shown in the app before anyone commits, and are set by Connect Rozgar in platform settings. Changes never apply to a job already agreed.

3. How amounts are calculated

Fees are calculated on our servers, from the job's agreed amount. The app displays the breakdown but does not decide it. An amount sent from a phone is never trusted as the basis for a charge.

4. Payment states

A job's money moves through clearly named stages, and none of them is set because a button was pressed:

StageMeans
QUOTEDA price has been proposed
AGREEDBoth sides accepted the price
PAYMENT DUEWork is done; payment is owed
PAYMENT CONFIRMEDPayment actually confirmed by the payment provider
PLATFORM FEE DUEOur fee is owed
PLATFORM FEE SETTLEDOur fee has been received
REFUNDEDMoney returned
DISPUTEDUnder review

PAYMENT CONFIRMED is only ever set from a verified message from the payment provider — never from the app saying so.

5. Today: payment happens between you

Until online payment is switched on, the employer pays the worker directly — cash or their own transfer. Connect Rozgar does not hold, transmit or guarantee that money, and cannot recover it for you if it is not paid.

Not being paid is still worth reporting: it affects an employer's standing on the platform.

6. Refunds

Where online payment exists, a refund may be due if a worker does not attend, or if the job is cancelled in time under the Cancellation Policy.

Platform fees may be refunded where the job did not happen through no fault of the person who paid.

7. Taxes

Each user is responsible for their own tax.

8. Failed payments and chargebacks

If a payment fails, the job stays unpaid and both sides are told.

If a payment is reversed after work was done, we may recover the amount from the account that received it and may suspend the account pending review.

9. Fraud

Faking a payment, faking completion to trigger one, or arranging a job on Connect Rozgar and moving it off-platform to avoid fees may result in removal.
